HONDA VTX 1300/1800 INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

 

SHORTY FENDER, 4", 6" & 6"9" INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

(BEFORE DRILLING ANY HOLES PLEASE LOOK AT VIDEOS PROVIDED BELOW PART 1, PART 2 & SADDLEBAG RAIL KIT VIDEOS)

**DO NOT DRILL PRE-MARKED INDENTATIONS**

THESE ARE UNIVERSAL REPLACEMENT VTX FENDERS FOR 1300 & 1800 & FIT ALL MODELS & YEARS & CAN RIDE TWO UP, AS YOU ARE USING THE INNER SUPPORT BRACKET FROM YOUR STOCK FENDER INSIDE OUR UNIVERSAL REPLACEMENT VTX FENDER FOR SUPPORT & TO GET PROPER HOLE PATTERN FOR YOUR MODEL VTX, AS WHAT CHANGES BETWEEN THE MODELS IS THE INNER SUPPORT BRACKET & BOLT PATTERN

**VTX 1800 N & F MODELS WILL NEED TO CUT THE INNER SUPPORT BRACKETS TO FIT INSIDE THE NEW FENDER & IN INSTALLATION VIDEO SHOWS WHERE THOSE WILL NEED TO BE CUT**

**1800 F MODELS WILL NEED TO MODIFY FENDER TO FIT PROPERLY**

DO NOT DRILL PRE-MARKED INDENTATIONS YOU WILL NEED TO MOCK UP YOUR INNER SUPPORT BRACKET FROM YOUR STOCK FENDER INSIDE YOUR NEW FENDER 

SISSY BAR AND TOUR PAK CAN BE USED 

IF STOCK FENDER MOUNTING BOLTS ARE TO SHORT YOU WILL NEED TO PURCHASE (4) 10mm X 1.25 X 50mm FOR FRONT & (2) 8mm X 1.25 x 40 mm FOR BACK. 

ANY SEAT/TIRE THAT FITS ON STOCK FENDER FITS OURS, AS IT A COPY OF STOCK FENDER 

EXHAUST NEEDS TO LINE UP TO THE TOP OF SWINGARM OR BELOW & NOT STAGGER OUTWARDS TOWARDS SADDLEBAGS & NOT WIDE LIKE STOCK 3" WIDE IS TOO BIG AND WILL BURN THE FIBERGLASS SADDLEBAGS

**WITH SHORTY FENDER BAGGER KIT SOME STOCK EXHAUST WILL WORK AS KIT IS A LOT SHORTER THAN 4" KIT.

CUTOUTS ON BAGGER KITS ARE NOT NEEDED UNLESS YOU HAVE CUSTOM EXTENDED EXHAUST/NONE CUSTOM EXHAUST WILL NOT SHOW THROUGH BACK OF BAGGER KIT OR TOUCH THE FIBERGLASS

YOU WILL NEED PEG EXTENSIONS IF KEEPING OR ADDING PASSENGER PEGS & SIDECOVERS WILL NEED TO BE NOTCHED OUT FOR PEG EXTENSIONS CLICK HERE FOR LINK TO PEG EXTENSIONS.

BAGGER KITS DO NOT REQUIRE AIR RIDE KITS

**WE DO NOT SELL THE SADDLEBAG LATCH HARDWARE KITS & GASKETS FOR THE SADDLEBAG LIDS, THESE WILL NEED TO BE PURCHASED SEPARATELY & WILL NEED TO BE PROPER FITTED & MAY NEED NEW HOLES ON LIDS & SADDLEBAGS AS THESE ARE ALL AFTERMARKET PARTS**

* ANY HARLEY RUBBER GASKETS FOR SADDLEBAG LIDS 

* ANY BAGGER TAIL LIGHTS YOU LIKE *CHECK OUT OUR LISTING FOR TAIL LIGHTS*

* YOU WILL NEED TO CHANGE YOUR STOCK EXHAUST THEY ARE TOO WIDE, EXHAUST MUST BE AT OR BELOW SWING ARM AND NOT STAGGER OUTWARDS TOWARDS SADDLEBAGS**SOME CUSTOMERS PURCHASE COBRAS, VANCE & HINES, FREEDOM PERFORMANCE EXHAUST OR MORTONS CUSTOM CYCLES

MOCK & DRILL ALL HOLES FOR TAIL LIGHTS, LATCHES ETC...BEFORE PAINT SO THAT EVERYTHING IS ALIGNED PROPERLY

*TO MOUNT YOUR CHOLO FENDER, TAKE THE INNER SUPPORT BRACKET FROM YOUR STOCK FENDER & PUT IT INSIDE YOUR CHOLO FENDER & DRILL THE HOLES FROM THAT INNER SUPPORT BRACKET FOR YOUR MODEL BIKE, ONCE IT SITS PROPERLY INSIDE THE CHOLO FENDER. EACH MODEL HAS DIFFERENT INNER SUPPORT BRACKETS.

*VTX 1800 N & F MODELS INNER SUPPORT BRACKET WILL NEED TO BE CUT. YOU WILL USE ALL YOUR STOCK HARDWARE.

Instructions for installation of tour pak

Mount carrier brackets according to their instructions to your VTX & than install the luggage rack on to the carrier brackets. Than drill (4) holes one on each corner of the luggage rack. Than place your tour pak on top of the luggage rack, set to desired distance for the passenger and mark the holes from the luggage rack onto the tour pak and drill holes out.

**FENDER NEEDS TO BE MOCKED UP BEFORE DRILLING ANY HOLES & BEFORE PAINT**YOU CAN USE (WHATEVER YOU CHOOSE TO GET THE GAP YOU DESIRE) WE USE 1/4" AIRLINE TAPED TO THE TOP AROUND TIRE TO GET  THE GAP TO DRILL THE HOLES OUT (USE BIGGER AIR LINE IF A BIGGER GAP IS DESIRED) THE EXCESS LEGS/FIBERGLASS CAN BE CUT BEFORE PAINT TO SIZE DESIRED, SINCE ITS FIBERGLASS IF ANY HOLES ARE MADE WRONG IT CAN BE CORRECTED BY PAINTER WHEN BODY WORK IS BEING DONE**

WE PROVIDE HARDWARE TO MOUNT FENDER IF YOU DIDN'T RECEIVE THEM PLEASE CONTACT US & WE WILL SHIP THEM OUT ASAP

 

Honda VTX 1800 Front Fender FL or Wrap

**MOUNT BY USING THE STOCK METAL FENDER BRACKETS & HARDWARE ON YOUR BIKE**FENDER NEEDS TO BE MOCKED UP BEFORE DRILLING ANY HOLES & BEFORE PAINT**YOU CAN USE (WHATEVER YOU CHOOSE TO GET THE GAP YOU DESIRE) WE USE 1/4" AIRLINE TAPED TO THE TOP AROUND TIRE TO GET  THE GAP TO DRILL THE HOLES OUT (USE BIGGER AIR LINE IF A BIGGER GAP IS DESIRED) THE EXCESS LEGS/FIBERGLASS CAN BE CUT BEFORE PAINT TO SIZE DESIRED, SINCE ITS FIBERGLASS IF ANY HOLES ARE MADE WRONG IT CAN BE CORRECTED BY PAINTER WHEN BODY WORK IS BEING DONE**

Honda VTX 1300/1800 Floorboard Adaptor Kits

These are for all 1300/1800 models that have factory floorboards (not pegs). Only modification needed is to widened the hole on your new Harley or Harley aftermarket floorboards to install them with our adaptor kit.

**We Recommend mounting compressor underneath swingarm if you do not have hard saddlebags or inside the hard saddlebags or on the saddlebag rails.  Solenoid can be mounted behind the left sidecover inside the tool box**Relay can be installed underneath the seat**Momentary switch can be mounted on either sidecover by drilling a 1/4" hole**It is normal when mounting the air shocks to notice the shock mounting studs to not fully come out flush with outer part of the bushings**We are not responsible for improper installation Plugs are all plug & play 

**THESE BUSHINGS ARE MADE OF HYPERFLEX POLYURETHANE WHICH ARE MUCH MORE DURABLE THAN RUBBER, WHEN INSTALLING THE SHOCKS ON YOUR VTX, BUSHINGS MAY SEEM TIGHT BUT THEY DO FIT & ARE THE PROPER SIZE. FOR EASIER INSTALLATION RUB THE INNER HOLE OF THE BUSHINGS WITH A LITTLE GREASE. AFTER INSTALLATION YOU WILL NOTICE THE SHOCK MOUNT TOP & BOTTOM DO NOT FULLY GO THROUGH THE ENTIRE BUSHINGS THIS IS NORMAL & SAFE WHEN INSTALLED WITH OUR PROVIDED BOLTS & WASHERS, PLEASE PURCHASE BLUE LOCTITE & APPY IT TO THE BOLTS. TORQUE THE SHOCK BOLTS TO HONDA FACTORY SPECS WHICH IS 20 FT LBS. LONGER BOLTS GO ON THE TOP SHORTER GO ON THE BOTTOM**

**NOTE VTX 1800C AND 1800F ARE REQUIRED TO CHANGE/PURCHASE STOCK UPPER SHOCK MOUNTS TO (HONDA 52452-MCH-000)**PLEASE LOOK AT YOUR UPPER SHOCK MOUNTS BEFORE ORDERING THESE FROM HONDA AS NOT ALL 1800C/F MODELS CAME WITH THE ROLLING BEARING SHOCK MOUNTS, YOU MAY NOT NEED TO PURCHASE. GOOGLE THIS PART NUMBER & IF IT LOOKS LIKE THE ONE ON YOUR VTX NOW YOU DO NOT NEED TO ORDER IT**
